Weekly Logo 5 (The Bear Shop)

This logo is my favorite this week because it fits nicely in itself. Everything is custom-made and its just a logo that i was happy with straight away.

Weekly Logo 4 (Shove-It)

This skateboard brand sounded like a young punk sort of thing to me so thats exactly what i made it look like. Its just a real simple brush tool using fill instead of stroke and simple contrasted color. It has a bit of attitude to it which is what skateboarders like to have.

Weekly Logo 3 (Big Dave's)

Yes its silly haha but i don't mind it. A very comical pizza shop logo in my opinion but along the lines of what i wanted to make. Used the red and green for that traditional feel.

Weekly Logo 2 (Destiny)

The clairvoyant logo was one i had a few ideas for but not too much time so i stuck with the quickest one. Basically using a crystal ball and custom type - which is a little shabby but rushed so understandable. I was influenced to use a type along the lines of the one used in the "Aladdin" movie title i dont mind it i guess.

Weekly Logo 1 (Hard Kore)

The logo this week that i disliked the most to be honest, mainly due to the fact that with such little time i had nothing but bad ideas for this one - but i have to get used to it i guess! Overall i think it turned out good though everything is custom-made of course which i like doing and i kept with a very simple contrast in colors. Yes i migrated the word Hardkore together because it looked silly when divided up with this look.

Weekly Logo 5 (Richard Jones Music)

I know it is very complicated but there is something about this one i just really liked while i came up with it. It is not the common style of logo for a "grand piano" store but i personally prefer things that are not so generic sometimes just to have a breath of fresh air. The letters are an "ivory" like color to blend with the black and look relatively classy.

Weekly Logo 4 (Street Act)

My favorite logo we did this week for a Street Theatre team. I really like everything about it as its all custom made and i really wanted to have a logo with movement. The curved lines give the feeling of motion and excitement, the color theme is just staying with an Australian color - but it works in various colors.

Weekly Logo 3 (Pinaccle Technologies)

This was for a nuclear medicine research company and i just wanted to really keep it clean. I went with circles as there are not too many logos with circles that i like - except this one of course!

Weekly Logo 2 (Martin Shaw)

Very simple dentist logo. I used the color theme that suits dentists (clean blue theme) and kept it so simple i really don't have too much to say on it. I know it is cheesy to use the tooth but it doesn't look too bad.

Weekly Logo 1 (Phat Elephant)

Here is my logo for Phat Elephant Golfing Equipment. Personally it reminds me too much of the pet barn logo but i think that is on account of the cute little elephant. The golf clubs are on his back so yeah i really didn't have many other ideas so i stuck with this.

Weekly Logo 5 (Abracadabra)

This is my magicians equipment shop logo and i hope it doesn't come over as too cheesy even though thats what most magicians are - especially with a name like "Abracadabra" too! The color is really basic with a small highlight and i believe it sits really even considering i made everything with the pen tool it stayed relatively straight across (i know i should have used the rulers). Anyway i really like this one just glad to have finished it.

Weekly Logo 4 (Studio 891)

Gradient alert! Yes but i thought i would try one out with a logo for once with this one - doesn't look too bad. I know this logo was for a photographer but it really looks more like a film one but thats my opinion. I think it works well because its not really 2-dimensional and is really neat. The color was just a nice blend of oranges which is not too extreme in change through the gradient.

Weekly Logo 3 (Fantastique)

This logo was for the children's party venue and was the one i spent the most time with deciding color. I would imagine these colors would be great on a white billboard or something so yeah its good. The type is custom made with pen tool of course and if i had more time i probably would clean it up a little but that is the basic look i was after.

Weekly Logo 2 (Allmans)

This logo was really a matter of finding a color that would look good with a slant - sounds weird but some colors just look silly. Red was too easy of any option and yellow seems to give the message of a professional transport service without the use of cheap gradients and flare effects. The type is custom made (not the word transport - thats helvetica) as i get sick of seeing the same fonts over and over. I like it!

Weekly Logo 1 (The Bank)

The club logo "The Bank" was the one i struggled with most because of the name mostly but i thought i would go kinda "retro" with the fluro pink. This worked well with the very simple white custom typeface i made to go along with it. Overall i liked the outcome even though i don't use pink too often it looks good.

GPS Navigation Assignment

There is my box and advertisement so here is the rationale.

Alright this is just a run-through of what i went through to get my design outcomes. I started with getting my logo right and wanted it to resemble something along the lines of the Finemores logo (most people in wagga know who they are) mixed with what you would expect to see from a navigation logo. After this was done i thought about my advertisement and wanted a slight bit of humor without it trying to be too funny. I looked at advancing technologies and looked at how that effects the roadmaps we wouldn't really need in the future. By finding a new use for roadmaps i thought it could entertain the young ones if they made those "paper-girls" by cutting them out of the map. The next step was the box and i kept it simple with a template from a box i had in my room. The gimmick is really to simplify a complicated product by making it look really easy to use. I had a few issues along the way (broken pencils, etc) which effected the final product but it turned out pretty close to how i wanted it.

Weekly Logo 5 (Silent Rage)

This logo for the heavy metal store gave me the most grief. The words "silent and "rage" don't go together at all so i didn't want to try and make a tie in to that. I just took a quick idea i had of a cracked cd and ran with it. The type is a modified version of one i got off dafont.com as i wanted it to be scrappy and don't have the time to make a decent one.

Weekly Logo 4 (Smith and Associates)

The lawyer logo was one i knew straight away would be simple. I really wanted to use an old "&" symbol to make sure it wasn't too dull and just made a little bit of color work with it. Basically wanted to have a cheery little law firm look opposed to a big corporate thing.

Weekly Logo 3 (Kamron Interactive)

The game developer logo was the one i was really unsure about and i don't really like it too much but it's ok i guess. I just wanted to run along the lines of the "Rare" logo but making it a little "old school" with the colors taken from Pacman. The type is all custom made so yeah a very simple idea.

Weekly Logo 2 (Slippery)

This is the sex shop logo and yeah i enjoyed making the type for this logo as it is a style i enjoy using. The drips add to the name and i just wanted it to really flow. The color is what many people may associate with this type of business so i don't mind the outcome.

Weekly Logo 1 (Arachnid)

Here is my gothic jewelery store logo and even though it is not 100% balanced out i really like it. The colors are your typical gothic theme and the type was just an idea i had to help portray the style. Other than that there is not too much to say but it turned out alright.

Yes i should have listened haha

If anyone gets the chance to remind me or just send me the links to the other blogs from our class that would be good since I have not had the chance to check out what everyone else is doing yet. I can't find them anywhere so yeah my bad I should listen next time. Also i just checked that virus thingy is gone "i think" which is nice, thanks for letting me know (some admin removed it i think).

Weekly Logo 5 (Forever Florists)

Just a quick re-make of my florist logo as it was kind of unfinished. Just going a for a little bit of class.

Weekly Logo 4 (Android Computers)

This is really just another simple idea that could have been complicated with a gradient but I don't like gradients myself. It is the kind of logo that would be on a shirt and I used what I see as "old computer" color as a kind of throwback to the nerdy side of computers. It took literally 3 minutes to make.

Weekly Logo 3 (Shimmer Toothpaste)

Yes my immediate reaction was is this a Gillette rip-off? No but i just made it kind of suit the whole bathroom look by following a similar idea. Everything is made by me (namely the typeface) so it could still use a little tweaking but you kind of get where i was going with it.

Weekly Logo 2 (Blue Valley Wines)

A really simple idea was all i wanted here because i like simple, it just works. Sure it looks a little like a logo for a bedding/furnishing company but the name "Blue Valley" just made me think nighttime with a rolling valley. If i had to change anything it would be the typefaces could use a little tweaking but i like it.

Weekly Logo 1 - Extreeme Gym

With this logo I was thinking an almost "cheesy" ideal of a gym because of the cheesy name of the gym (no offense haha). It really comes from stuff like Roger Rabbit when I think about it and I made many different color versions so I will just upload the simple ones with a b+w version of course. In my opinion it is ok but i wouldn't mind making a full on "glimmering" silver version to take away from the cartoon look.

Logo10 (Eagle Boys)

I included this logo because even though it is horrible in color the form of it just says "cheap pizza". With the use of the warped type to the slanted box it all comes together and delivers the message really well to the audience. Visually not my favorite but is smart.

Logo9 (Xbox)

Very clean and very professional. This logo was made to give people the feel of the "future" and does this well through all the elements involved. The type sits well and the sphere is brilliant and would work in many different situations (clothes, signage, etc).

Logo8 (PGA)

Old style class. The color and shape of the logo give it a great balance which would look great on anything from jackets to shoes. This one has really been thought about and is timeless. The typography is very simple but really fits the idea.

Logo7 (Ford)

This is the For logo and is a really great "classic" example of class with age. The logo is very old as far as the typography goes but works great as it has aged very well. The color is nice and clean and it works great in it's simplest form.

Business Card (Simple-Florist)

This is the simple business card. It is very plain but i don't mind it considering how long we had to make it. Overall i would probably change most of the font but it will do for now.

Florist logo

Here is two different versions of my logo. It is black and white because as we all know most logos should work in it. I really like the shape as it has a bit of class as it steers away from a conventional florist logo. It is symmetrical which also works well giving it balance.

Business Card (Other-Florist)

This is the business card we did and mine has two sides because it just looks a lot better than cramming it all on one side.
