5371e: Calendar
For the calendar my objective was to just make it different to what I have seen before. After hours of sketching the idea the best format was a circular one. The bright colour was drawn from times like the 1960-80's. The reason for the trippy centre was also from the 1960's which Im sure I have seen many posters use.
5371e: War Heroes Booklet
The Australian War Booklet was a straight forward design theme. There is not really much creative freedom with a theme like war as you have to be respectful with what you do. I just kept it rather simple with many saturation adjustments and metallic typefaces for headings. I tried to have the imagery match the headings so it all came together a little better.
5371e: Pfizer Brochure
This was a brochure we created to warn people to throw away old pills, etc. I steered away from the obvious "scare tactic" approach that most brochures used and created something a little less dramatic. The main reason I went with a cartoon theme is because the last thing you want to do in a waiting room is look at brochures telling you that you could die. I prefer to still inform but make it something people would pick up while they are bored. I could rave on but that about sums it up.

5371e: Graphic Conference Poster
The whole concept for the design poster was just to combine some very simple techniques that I literally made up but worked out well. By creating a combination of diagonal type and lines there is enough movement to create interest. Overall it is hard to say exactly what I was going for but I am glad it worked out so well.
5371e: Pizzari Menu
The Pizzari menu was something that I ended up actually enjoying to create. Fitting all that content was difficult but I feel that this looks very strong. My overall theme was to not follow the obvious colour theme of Italy and to be as sophisticated as possible. The logo was the item I centred the whole look around.
